I know, I’ll go sub and save money and then move to Chicago.
Except that I won’t be able to sub, so I won’t make any money.
I know, I’ll look for other jobs in the area.
Except I decided to coach-a good decision, I still think-and that starts every weekday at four and means I’m gone every weekend, which takes out some possibilities. Oh yeah, and except that I’m starting to look at jobs that would be tough for me to feel good about leaving once I’ve made enough money to move to Chicago
OR
Except they’re too far away from where I’m living now to actually be feasible, so I’d have to move, but then I’m not living rent-free anymore which defeats the purpose of leaving comfortable old Roseburg and means that Chicago is even further away (again).
I know, I’ll wallow in self-pity for a little while and wish that everything in life was quick and easy.
Except I don’t really want that…
